2022-2023 800.7 hectares in the Kharganat River
In accordance with the objective of “Restoring 8,000 hectares of land damaged and abandoned due to mining for several years” in Section 5.1.8 of the 2020-2024 Action Program of the Government of Mongolia for 2022-2023, the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources and the Erdenet Mining Corporation SOE successfully participated in the technical rehabilitation tender announced by the
Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources and the Erdenet Mining Corporation in 2022 and completed technical rehabilitation work on 686 hectares and 114.7 hectares of land, or a total of 800.7 hectares in the Kharganat River basin in Yeroo soum of Selenge province.
2023-2024 777.6 hectares in the area of Nariny Am
In accordance with the goal of “Restoring 8,000 hectares of land damaged and abandoned due to mining for many years” in Section 5.1.8 of the 2020-2024 Action Program of the Government of Mongolia for 2023-2024, the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources and the Erdenet Mining and Mineral Resources Corporation successfully participated in the technical rehabilitation tender announced by the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources and Mineral Resources and Erdenet Mining and Mineral Resources Corporation in 2024, and completed and handed over to the local community the technical rehabilitation of 777.6 hectares of land in the area of Nariny Am, located in Yeroo soum of Selenge province.
